Podiatry is a very effective form of diagnosis and treatment of all lower limb and foot related problems. Podiatry can be used very effectively to treat general foot related problems, from hard skin to corns and callus; to nail problems, local surgery, postural problems and lower limb injuries.
Podiatrists undergo a rigorous training of usually around three years and are skilled in diagnostic techniques to work alongside doctors and other health care professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
Your Podiatrist will take a full patient history taking into consideration your lifestyle, past history, exercise and working environment and note your medication history. All of these factors are very import to enable the Podiatrist to form a complete diagnosis and treatment plan before any treatment can take place. Where there is more than one treatment indicated your options will be mutually agreed with you.
The Podiatrist will aim to reduce your pain and treat your symptoms to enable your body to return very quickly to normal health and keep it there.
We are covered under many private health schemes such as BUPA and HSA; please ask for more details.
